Leonardo under substantial pressure At Milan

AC Milan’s new coach, Leonardo is quite disappointed about the clubs 1-0 loss to FC Zurich at the San Siro. This was a shock for the UEFA Champions League, as well as on the new Rossoneri boss.

After this kind of losing, the pressure Leonardo already facing, has increased significantly. AC Milan fans had seen their side winning in just two matches, while they played six domestic matches in this season.

Milan fans also let their team know about their actual feelings, the San Siro crowd showed many frustrating moods, signaling further discontent. This poor result at the San Siro also reminds that, the Rossoneri has managed only one goal at home in this season.

All of these fires up the level of pressure on Leonardo, who took charge of Milan after Carlo Ancelotti’s move to Chelsea. The situation does not get any simpler for the Brazilian, when his side is going to travel across Bernabeu to take on an in-form Real Madrid.

When Leonardo took the responsibility, the club was in an actual hazardous condition. It was in the time, when Kaka was transferring to Real Madrid and Paolo Maldini was going to retire.

Though Milan’s squad is called as ageing bunches, which perhaps have passed their period of excellence. However, the fact is that, Milan still have enough quality to perform better.

Milan vice-president Alberto Galliani also defends his coach and players. He said, “This group won’t be touched and with these footballers and staff we’ll go on until the end of the season.” This brings the much-needed support for Leonardo in proving his worthness for the Rossoneri’s.
